Live Voice Notes

Read the article I wrote in preparation for my Misogi. In it I outline the rules, my fears and my race strategy, including my nutrition plan and the equipment I will need.

For further reading and resources, I am compiling a complete list of books, podcasts and academic articles.

Listen up.

Here is my ultra hiking playlist. At times a questionable music taste but it gets me through long nights and difficult moments.

  • Embarking on a 16-kilometer swim along the Belgian coast is my next Misogi challenge in September this year. Despite not really loving swimming and recognizing my slim chances of completing it, this adventure is all about exploring my boundaries again.

Facing the cold waters and navigating through the unpredictable waves, this journey is not just about physical endurance but also about mental barriers. It's a deep dive into the essence of Misogi and stepping outside my comfort zone. This Misogi is a test for my ultimate goal to swim along the full lenght of the Belgian coast in 2025, 75 kilometers.

  • As I write this I am building a business idea and product where I take people on a Misogi Adventure Retreat.

The concept, based on the Misogi philosophy, is about pushing beyond personal limits through tailored experiences. These adventure retreats, lasting a few days, would not just be physical challenges, but personal transformative journeys.

Participants will face personal Misogis in stunning, remote locations, guided by experts in both physical endurance and mental resilience.

The goal? To emerge not just stronger physically, but with a renewed sense of focus, clarity, and the tools to tackle life's obstacles head-on.

It's an invitation to redefine personal boundaries and discover untapped potential within a supportive, like-minded community.

  • The Misogi sparked curiosity in readers and my network. Some people asked m for support to design their own Misogi challenges and to keep them on track in case life gets in the way. I am in the process of building a Misogi Coaching Programe to support your own adventure.

Misogi Coaching will focus on guiding individuals through personal and professional transformation by embracing challenges that push their boundaries. This form of coaching encourages clients to undertake their own Misogi adventures, tailored to their goals, fostering resilience, clarity, and personal growth.

By incorporating Misogi principles, I help clients identify and overcome internal obstacles, enhancing their mindset and approach to life's challenges.

The process involves setting ambitious but achievable goals, creating actionable plans, and providing the motivation and accountability needed to achieve them, all while emphasizing the importance of stepping outside comfort zones.
